The college is named after Shaheed Shivaram Hari Rajguru who was an Indian revolutionary from Maharashtra, known for his involvement in the assassination of a British Raj police officer. He also fought for the independenceof India and on 23rd March 1931 was hanged by the British government along with Shaheed Bhagat Singh and Shaheed Sukhdev. We salute his contributions, his dedication for the Indian people and the mode and missionof his life along with his achievements. We wish to embody in our students the same spirit of perseverance, strength and commitment.
As a constituent college of the University of Delhi, this institution is fully supported by Government
of NCT of Delhi. In its pursuit of academic excellence, the college conforms to a healthy work culture, discipline, freedom of thought and expression, sense of consciousness for nation building and reverence for universal human values.
My vision for the college is to provide students with an educational experience that inspires and motivates them to be lifelong learners and caring contributors to the world around them. Our goal is
to provide a nurturing environment that meets the individual needs of each student, both academically and socially.
To bring this vision to reality, we have a strong meticulously trained, dedicated and committed faculty and staff who at each point are ready to guide the students. The faculties are dedicated to allocate their knowledge from their experiences in their own field of expertise to the students. Not only this, our faculty members are also caring, supportive and nurturing to the students as they engage with the students in this wonderful journey.
As you know, we are going through an unprecedent global predicament today. Each one of us have insome way been affected by the coronavirus pandemic and our entire way of life has now changed. Atthis time, I would like to assure you that your academics remain our priority and our hard-working faculty have been doing an outstanding job in providing regular online education to the students. Additionally, different student bodies and the teachers together host various workshops/programs toensure holistic development of all our students.
We are excited for the opportunity to get know all of you and I would like for all the students to be as excited for this new, exciting phase of their lives where they will not learn as students of their respective discipline but also as students in life as you discover yourselves. I wish you lots of curiosity and vigour for this journey that will undoubtedly be a rewarding one.
All the best!
