The duly constituted Research & Ethical Council of theCollege running under Centre ensuresdiligenceand ethics inresearchactivities. In addition, faculty membersareactively involved as guidesfor Ph.D. scholars.Somehavealsocontributedtowardsbooksandwritingchaptersinbooks.
2. EntrepreneurshipDevelopmentCell (EDCell)
Entrepreneurship in India is yet to reveal its hidden potential. It will not only help India to frontier with the world leaders but also unlock the quality of brains that we are so proud of. The Centre via ED cell inculcates and enrichs the entrepreneurial environment in and around collegeby creatingan easily accessible and exhaustive set of resources for the young entrepreneurs, which includes the students,thebudding professionals and mentors. It also garners mentoring support from the industry experts in order to channelize and refine raw entrepreneurial energies that go on to becomesuccessful business.
3. Institutional InnovationCouncil (IIC)
The primary mandate of Centre is to encourage, inspire and nurture young studentsby supporting them to work with new ideas and transform them into prototypes while theyare informative years through IIC. Since it’s establishment in college, centre has been workingtowardspromotinginnovationpractices not justin studentsbutfacultymemberstoo.
4. Technology Business Incubator (TBI)
CollegehasbeenawardedtheapprovaltohaveTechnologyBusinessIncubator(TBI)supportedbytheMicro,SmallandMediumEnterprises(MSME)-DI,NewDelhi(Feb,2018). Themission istostimulatetheestablishment&growthoftechnologybasedstart-ups.
5. Rajguru College- Innovation and Start-Up Policy (RISP)
The National Innovation & Start-up policy2019 for HEIs is the guiding framework toenvision an education system oriented towards start-up & entrepreneurial opportunities forstudents & faculty. The guidelines provide ways to Indian HEIs develop entrepreneurialagenda,managing IPR right ownership, technology licensing & equity sharing in start-upsor enterprise established by faculty & students.These guidelines will enable & encouragestudents& faculty to considerstart-up& entrepreneurship as acareer option.
The Centre is under process of formulating our own policy named as Rajguru Innovation &Start-up Policy—2021, which is drafted as per the requirements of our students, staff &faculty.College would aim at successful implementation of RISP framework.To achievethis full-fledged support of all University academic, non academic staff, para-teaching staff,alumni, other departments would be necessary.

6. Enactus
Enactus is a non-profit organization with over 70,500 active members in 1,700 universitiesacross 36 countries. It brings together students from institutions all over the world to workonsocialoutreachprojectsforunderserved populations.Enactus Shaheed Rajguru College was founded on January 19, 2018 with the goal of makingapositive influenceonthecommunity.The center through enacts identifiespossibilities transforming them into tangible, sustainable projects and uplifting theunderprivilegedsectionsofsociety. It also fosters a community of socially conscious students who are well prepared for the future.
7. SocialEntrepreneurship
The Centre aims to uptake social entrepreneurial activities. Following social projects are currently running under the Centre:
A. MushroomCultivation
The Technical Training Course on Mushroom Cultivation was organized under centre in collaboration with by Enactus, Department of Microbiologyand Foodtechnology of the college to empower the idea of mushroom cultivation andconsumptionwhileprovidingemployment.
The course offered exclusive insights into the mushroom cultivation process whilespreading the idea of a healthy lifestyle. The participants got the opportunity to getfirst-hand knowledge from field expert and learned skills for healthy harvest fromtheexperts.
B. Composting
Centre has taken initiative to recycle green and wet kitchen waste of the College premises. out of the premises, thus making some contribution towards conservation of the environment. It is planned that in due course of time, students shall assist in bringing awareness about segregation and recycling of waste in the nearby residential societies.
The process of composting is being carried out in three different ways:
- Composting kitchen waste of hostel mess and staff quarters: This waste is mixed with brown waste like dry leaves and waste decomposer. The process is repeated on daily basis and then this mass is left to decompose for about forty days.
- Composting of green waste: The waste is dried, crushed and treated with decomposer to yield good quality leaf mold.
- Vermicomposting: Organic waste is converted to good quality manure by the help of earthworms.
