EBSB club of Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences for Women has been created under the 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' initiative of the Government of India. The ideology was proposed by the honorable Prime Minister on 31st October 2015, the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who is known for uniting the country as one nation.
Under this initiative, the States/UTs of the nation are paired with each other. Hence, Delhi has been paired with Sikkim. The states organize various activities and festivals for promoting the rich culture and heritage of their paired States/UTs.
We, at EBSB club of Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences for Women, conduct various engaging activities that promote the culture, traditions, language, folkdance, folk music and cuisines of Sikkim. Some of the events include cultural showcases, culinary festivals, education tours and student and faculty exchange programs. It provides a platform for people to share, discuss, interact, learn and propagate the diversity of our country with zeal and enthusiasm. This gives the opportunity to appreciate the diversity and promote the national integrity at the same time.
